We want to understand whether the underlying business is healthy and whether access to capital can genuinely help it move forward.

Existing debt isn’ t automatically a red flag either. Many successful businesses use debt strategically. The key question is whether the debt structure is sustainable and whether additional funding improves the business’ position.

Often, what separates our decision from a traditional bank’ s decision is context. Banks tend to focus heavily on historical indicators. We place significant weight on where the business is today and where it’ s heading.

A“ yes” often comes when we can see a viable business with strong fundamentals that simply doesn’ t fit a conventional lending framework.
