The rise of fintech has brought about a gear change in the delivery of financial services , allowing businesses and consumers to access services in new ways . Perhaps the clearest example of this lies in embedded finance .

This technology is allowing software providers , like accounting and invoicing platforms , to offer working capital and credit directly to their business users from within the app . This is providing a much-needed lifeline to many firms as other sources of funding , like venture capital , are drying up .
