Swathy started at Finastra back in 2015 as Director , Strategic Initiatives , before moving on to become Director , M & M Programs , where she delivered complex global programmes in periods of substantial change while continuing to maintain flexibility to changing organisational needs . She also worked as the VP , Head of Cheque Business , where she had full accountability of P & L spanning across Canada and Romania , covering manufacturing , product management , technology , customer support , and client success groups ; she now works as their Chief Operating Officer .

TIAA ' s Nuveen Labs is led by Wendy Harrington , who also holds the position of Chief Data and AI Officer . Occupying a cutting-edge position , the company is focused on the development of data , analytics , and AI to boost business and economic growth . As such , Wendy is committed to finding and nurturing data talent from underrepresented communities .

Wendy has worked with start-ups and established names alike , with those such as Figure Technologies , Inc ., McKinsey & Company , and Franklin Templeton Investments her experience before joining TIAA in 2019 . Her time developing start-up businesses , working in the consulting , fintech , and asset management industries , as well as her entrepreneurial background , contribute crucial operational expertise and strategic thinking .

Prior to joining Finastra , Swathy worked for Blackberry , TATA Consultancy Services Ltd , and Fidelity Business Services . She obtained a master ’ s in Business Administration and Management from the University of Toronto , along with a bachelor ’ s in electrical and telecommunications engineering at Bangalore University .
