JAMJAM ’ S WISH
Mum Serena was 16 weeks pregnant when she learned that her baby was positive for Trisomy 13 and that children with this condition don ’ t survive .
JamJam was born with 6 fingers on his hands and feet . He had a duplex kidney on one side . He had hypotrophy and bilateral microthermal . He had epilepsy , which was medication resistant and sleep apnoea . He was fed by mouth and was non-verbal . The family knew how much JamJam liked going outside , so thought Centre Parcs would be the best thing for him . During their time away together , his oxygen levels were the best they had been since he was in hospital and his heart rate was the best it had been . These were all signs that he was enjoying this experience . JamJam passed away less than a week after the family got home from Centre Parcs .
